But those things happened in about 2 out of 20 units in our last batch, and Roborock's support responded within the project's time constraints.

That last point matters. When a robot vacuum is deployed across 40 guest rooms, support response time is a bigger deal than suction power. A vacuum that needs a repair is a room that doesn't get cleaned. A brand that responds in two days is worth more than a spec sheet that looks good on paper.

The Q Revo's official spec sheet covers the obvious stuff—mapping, navigation, self-emptying dock, mop washing, suction numbers. But the part that doesn't show up in a product listing is whether the company will help you when something goes wrong. Our contact was responsive during setup, which is more than I can say for some budget brands we've tested.

Bottom Line

If you're evaluating the Roborock Q Revo robot vacuum mop for a business, I'd give it a serious look. Just check the integration list before you promise a smart hub feature to your boss. And if you're waiting on a pilot light while your demo window shrinks, pay the $160. It's cheaper than the alternative.

The lesson from that guesthouse afternoon wasn't about water heaters. It was about the cost of "probably." A probably fix cost us 45 minutes and made the demo feel chaotic. A guaranteed fix would have cost $160 and made us look prepared. For a purchase that might be worth $20,000 or more, that's not even close.

I'd rather spend money on certainty than lose time waiting for luck. At least, that's been my experience with deadline-driven projects. And I think it applies just as much to robot vacuums as it does to gas water heaters.

Oh, and one more thing: if you manage a building, make sure someone actually knows how to light the pilot light. "Probably someone does" isn't a maintenance plan.
