Roborock Saros 10R Review 2025: I Ran It Side-by-Side with the QX Revo

Both are daily-use machines. Both empty their own dust bins, wash their own mops, and make a real dent in office grime. The differences only show up in the messy details—which, in a facility, are the details that matter.

Navigation: The Saros 10R Gets It, the QX Revo Gets Stuck

In an open room, both robots are fine. Both map the floor plan after one run, both avoid stairs, both find their dock. That's table stakes.

The difference is obstacle avoidance. The Saros 10R uses a camera plus 3D structured light. In our office, it threaded between chair legs, dodged phone chargers, and once pulled its side brush away from a cable like it was avoiding a puddle. (Which, honestly, was a little creepy to watch.) The QX Revo's two spinning mop pads do a genuinely good job on open tile and hardwood. Our breakroom floor came out clean in the center. But along the edges and into corners, the mops can't reach. After a week, I could see a visible line of grime against the baseboards and around the toilet bases in the restrooms. Visitors don't compliment the center of a floor; they notice the dirt at the edges.

Verdict: Saros 10R wins for offices. The QX Revo wins only if all your square footage is open floor.

Cost of Ownership: The Sticker Price Is Missing the Point

Looking back, I almost bought the QX Revo first. It's cheaper—around $699–$799 (Roborock.com and major online retailers, January 2025; verify current pricing). The Saros 10R runs $1,199–$1,399 at the same sources. That's a real $500 difference.

But the 10R paid it back in about two months. Here's the math: with the QX Revo, our cleaning staff was spending two to three extra hours per week hand-wiping edges and corners the robot couldn't reach. At $25/hour, that's $62–$75 per week. The $500 price gap disappears in about two months. Over three years, the 10R saves roughly $8,000 in labor.

Go with the Saros 10R if:

  • You have mixed carpet and hard floors (the 10R handles transitions and lifts its mop automatically)
  • You care about total cost over three years, not just the invoice today

Go with the QX Revo if:

  • You're covering large open areas with minimal edges
  • You need two units for the price of one flagship
  • You have staff who can do a quick edge wipe now and then

I chose the Saros 10R. Employee satisfaction with office cleanliness in our annual survey went from 72% to 88%—and a surprising number of comments mentioned that the floors actually looked clean in the corners. That's the thing about quality: people notice the edges even when they can't say why.
